90-min. Plant Music Sustainability Walk
Sounds of the Inaudible
An aesthetic field of experience with plants via bio-data sonification at eye level
Plants generate unique sound or light patterns through their subtle bioelectric activities — such as changes in the electrical resistance of their leaves — including in response to us humans. Using a special sensor system, this data is captured in real time and translated into music and/or light (bio-data sonification). Each plant brings its own "voice," individual tonal sequences, and individual rhythm.
Goal of the event: Together we experience plants at eye level and discover how nature, sound, and mindfulness can strengthen community. Through the medium of plant music and bio-data sonification, an inspiring gateway to connectedness, creativity, and team spirit is created.

Duration: 90 min.

Plant Music Experience — Museum / Gallery / Planetarium
Artist: Cassis B Staudt
Full-day event with four interactive plant music stations and one plant light station
4–5 individual plant stations finely tuned to the surroundings:
Visitors can interact directly with the plant: touch, proximity, or breath influence the musical
composition. Here, the direct connection between human and plant becomes tangible.
A selected plant plays its music "solo" — entirely without human influence. Visitors experience
the inner activity of a plant as a living sound portrait.
Two plants "play" together and respond subtly to one another. This station shows how plants
enter into relationship — not only with us, but also with each other. The music emerges from
this "dialogue."
This station is dynamic: different plant species are swapped throughout the day (e.g. fern,
rose, cactus, orchid), including plants brought in by visitors. We hear the differences between
species — each with its own acoustic expression.
In this new station, a plant controls light pulses and color gradients in the room. The plant's
bioelectric activity is translated in real time into a visual experience — a fascinating interplay
of color and living feedback.
Goal of the installation: The stations invite wonder, listening, and lingering. They connect science, art, and nature experience in a sensory and intergenerational way. Artist Cassis B is available throughout the day for personal conversations, explanations, and exchange.
Plant Music Concert
Live concert with plant music (duration: approx. 90 minutes plus ambient close)
Sounds of the Inaudible
What if plants could speak — and we finally listened? In this unique live concert, artist Cassis B Staudt makes the bioelectric activity of plants audible: using fine sensors, the electrical signals of living plants are captured in real time and translated into atmospheric sounds — a concert that knows no sheet music, but arises from the pure life rhythm of nature. Each plant brings its own voice, its own rhythm, its own tonal language. The audience experiences an intimate, meditative sound event that dissolves the boundary between human, art, and nature — and invites us to hear the world with different ears.
Plants Dance — When Life Begins to Move
What happens when plants set the beat — and we let them move us? In "Plants Dance," bioelectric plant sounds and human movement merge into a living, shared experience. The signals of living plants are translated in real time into music that fills the space — and invites dancing. Whether the plants respond to our movements or we let their sounds guide us: this open, playful format creates a unique dialogue between human and nature. No dance experience required — only the willingness to connect, let go, and feel nature in an entirely new way.
Plant Music Sound Bath — Sounds of the Inaudible
What does a plant sound like? In this special sound bath, artist Cassis B Staudt immerses us in the fascinating world of plant music. Using fine sensors, the bioelectric impulses of living plants are made audible in real time — as floating, meditative sounds that invite body and mind to rest. Lying on yoga mats or seated, we listen to these delicate musical vibrations: each plant unfolds its very own voice, its own rhythm, its own tonal language. Your own plants are warmly welcome — Cassis B, who travels across Germany with her plant music, also brings along a selection of particularly resonant plants. At the close, everyone is invited to capture what they encountered during the sound bath in a quiet writing ritual — intuitively, poetically, or reflectively. Those who wish may share their writing with the group afterwards. An event for all who seek relaxation, mindfulness, and a special form of connection with nature. No prior knowledge required.
